Models
Here you will find a quick survey of our basic Cabin Models. For more information, layouts, and pricing follow the links.
Our In Development page is where we show you new design ideas and concepts. New models often turn up here first.
We build our Cabins in a standardized way and construct them with building jigs, which we use to increase quality and reduce labor costs. We routinely expand or contract the cabins to meet individual requirements; our building process supports this.
We use Computer Aided Design which allows us to make the Cabin wider or slimmer, add or subtract windows or doors easily.
It all started with the Maxwell
Cabin featuring our signature curving roofline.
Sized 16 x 20, 320 sq/ft, it is still our most popular model.
As a less expensive alternative, and for those with a preference for a straight roof line, the Morris was developed and introduced. These Sister-Cabins share similar features – the only difference is the roofline.
As requests for larger Cabins have come in, the Maxwell / Morris line has expanded to include many sizes, from our 12 x 16 MINI to a 1000 SF 2-bedroom cabin-home and many sizes in between.
Our base Maxwell 16-20 starts at $32,500. The base Morris 16-20 starts at $31,500.
For additional layouts and pricing options see the Maxwell/Morris page.
Cabin Fever is open to exploring new materials and building forms. The Mariposa Cabin embodies both.
Unabashedly modern in design, the Mariposa is also about forward thinking materials with our use of SIP building panels.
At 16 x 28, 448 sq/ft, the mariposa comes standard with kitchen and bath as a weekend getaway, or backyard cottage.
The Mariposa 16-37 also available larger as a 1-bedroom home.
The Mariposa 16-28 starts at $52,800
Our Eichler line is a nod to the famous California developer Joseph Eichler of the 1950’s. (visit our links section)
Eichler is credited with bringing architect-designed, modern homes to middle class Americans.
Modern, bold, clean and uncomplicated, our Eichler line features a near-flat roof, generous glass on the façade and large overhangs.
The Eichler line is available in any of the Morris / Maxwell sizes and layouts.
The ZIP was developed as a NO PERMIT model. At 10 x 12, 120 square feet, it is permit exempt in most localities.
In addition to being permit exempt, The ZIP is fast to build, but it's no lightweight. This re-locatable design is engineered to last a lifetime.
Configured with different roof line, window, door and decking options, the Zip can quickly be tailored to the character of it's owner.
If you like the ZIP and have a need for something larger, let us know. This building system works in larger sizes as well.
As rendered the Zip 10-12 starts at 15,550. Base model $12,500.
